Enson Inoue (Japanese: ensenJing Shang , born on April 15th 1967) is a former Japanese-American mixed martial arts artist. Professionally competing from 1995 to 2010, he was a fighter at The PRIDE Fighting Championships, the UFC, Shooto, and Vale Tudo Japan. Inoue was an ex- Shooto Heavyweight Champion. Inoue was on the film documentary Rites of Passage: The Rebirth of Combat Sports. Inoue was also featured in the film about martial arts Redbelt.
In 2011 Enson went to the northeast region of Japan to assist directly with those affected by the tsunami and earthquake in areas like Fukushima.
In the month of October in 2008 Inoue was detained in Tokyo for possession of marijuana and was held for 28 days until his release on the 14th of November in 2008. Inoue was charged with marijuana possession but later dismissed.
