N. T. Rama Rao Jr. is one of the most popular and richest Actor who was born on May 20, 1983 in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Rama Rao Jr. was conceived in Hyderabad on 20 May 1983 to Telugu film actor, politician Nandamuri Harikrishna, and Shalini Bhaskar Rao. He is the great-grandson of N. T. Rama Rao, a former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in Telugu. He attended Vidyaranya High school in Hyderabad and then completed his intermediate education at St. Mary’s College in Hyderabad. He is a trained Kuchipudi dancer.

Then, he signed up to be a debutant director VV Vinayak’s Aadi. He played the role of a young cum hero who seeks revenge on his landlord for the deaths of his parents. It was just behind Indra Chiranjeevi’s Indra that the film was the biggest grosser of 2002. He became a star after the film ran for over 200 days. The veteran director B. Gopal offered him Allari Ramudu. Although the film did not make a lot of money, it ran for over 100 days. Then he signed up to A. M. Rathnam for the political thriller Naaga. The same director SS Rajamouli was his collaborator for Simhadri, an action masala movie that became an Industry hit. To get rid of his youth look, he grew a beard and adopted a new look. He was dubbed the Young Tiger. Later, he quit youth movies and began to experiment with faction dramas.

On 26 March 2009, after electioneering, en route to Hyderabad, the SUV in which he was a passenger, was struck head-on with another vehicle, at Suryapet. He and his companions were thrown out off the SUV and suffered injuries. He was treated at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, in Secunderabad, where he recuperated well.

Rao later signed up for the action film Kantri which was directed by debutant Meher Ramesh a protege of Puri Jagannadh. The film though receiving mixed reviews, earned some attention, as Rao’s dances helped it. Rao’s dance steps in the song “I Go Crazy” and “123 Nenoka Kantri” were highly appreciated by many critics. In 2009, Rao took a year hiatus to campaign for Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the 2009 general elections.
