Harris, a fifth-year senior, transferred to Temple in 2012 as he received a medical red-shirt for the sixth and final year. Harris ran for 12 touchdowns in his final year and averaged 5.7 yards per run.

Harris was the Preseason ACC Player-of-the Year heading into his senior year. Harris was limited to two games. He missed three of the season’s first three games and then he re-injured himself in the loss to Wake Forest. Harris had previously broken Derrick Knight’s school record for rushing. Harris was allowed to return to the Eagles in 2012 after Harris’ injury. The school announced that it would be looking for a medical redshirt. Harris’ December 16th 2011 application for a medical shirt was approved. Harris was to be back with the Eagles in 2012.
