Miriam Quiambao is one of the most popular and richest Actor who was born on May 20, 1975 in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Quiambao was the first child of two. She was born May 20, 1975, in Quezon City, to Medardo Quiambao, of Bacacay. She was a student at the School of the Holy Spirit of Quezon during her elementary and senior high school years. After graduating from high school, she enrolled in collegiate studies at the University of Santo Tomas to obtain her physical therapy degree. She is also a licensed physical therapist in Indiana, USA. Quiambao was a successful therapist at St. Luke’s Hospital in Manila before her Binibining Pilipinas stint. She was also an instructor at a local gym.

Quiambao entered the Binibining Pilipinas Pageant in 1999. She was awarded Miss Photogenic and won the Binibining Pilipinas World 1999 title. Janelle Bautista, Binibining Pilipinas World 1999 titleholder, was soon deposed due to questions about her citizenship. The title was handed to her and she was asked to represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 1999 pageant, which was held in Trinidad and Tobago that year. Lalaine Edson, Binibining Pilipinas International 1999 took Quiambao’s title.

In January 2004, she married Italian businessman Claudio Rondinelli but the two-year marriage eventually fell apart and Quiambao went back to the Philippines in 2006. She resumed her TV hosting career, working alongside again with Paolo Bediones, this time presenting a travel show, Pinoy Meets World.

She also co-host for the show Palaban on GMA 7 with Winnie Monsod and Malou Mangahas tackling current events, socio-economic and political issues in the Philippines in 2007. Also, she became the host for QTV 11’s “Dahil Sa Iyong Paglisan”, a made for TV show highlighting the experiences, trials and success of Overseas Filipino Workers or OFW.

She was the first Asian contestant to receive the Clairol Herbal Essences Style Award. Along with Misses Botswana, Spain, she was named as one of three final delegates. Quiambao was unable to answer the final question. This asked whether Miss Universe should keep her reign, even if she becomes pregnant. Spain’s Diana Nogueira was 2nd Runner up. It came down to Quiambao from the Philippines and Mpule Kawelagobe from Botswana. Quiambao was the 1st Runner up, with Mpule Kwalagobe of Botswana winning Miss Universe 1999.
