Reisinho joined the club during their pre-season tour to Scotland. He scored in a 3-0 victory against Forfar Athletic. Paul Sturrock, manager, said that Reisinho was playing on the right-side midfield. This is not his position but that he still showed some potential. He is keen to help others and has a great sense of awareness. In August 2001, he signed a six-month deal with the club. After three seasons playing for Vila Mea, he returned to Portugal in 2002 to join Gondomar. Reisinho, who was 19 years old, joined Luxembourg National Division club Progres Niedercorn in 2006. After that, he moved to Avenir Beggen where he scored three goals during his first season. He moved to Avenir Beggen in 2008 to play for Young Boys Diekirch, before joining Kayl-Tetange in the following year.

In 2006, he moved to Luxembourg to play for Progres Niedercorn. He then moved to Avenir Beggen one year later. Reisinho was dropped to the lower division in 2008 and spent a season with Young Boys Diekirch, before joining Union 05. He was a Porto youth team player and was capped at youth level by Portugal. Reisinho played 15 games for the under-16s, and three times for the under-17s.

Reisinho was born at Vila Nova De Gaia. In 1988, he signed a Primeira Liga youth contract with Porto. He was capped for Portugal at the international level over five years as he worked his way up through the youth team. He was capped for Portugal at international level for his under-16 and under-17 teams. He scored one goal. In 1993, he moved to Penafiel in Liga de Honra. He made his debut on the team. In his first season, he made 20 appearances for the club. He then joined Felgueiras on a loan in 1994. He moved to Leca in 1994 on loan. He made four appearances at the Primeira Liga, before returning to Penafiel. Reisinho was transferred from Marco to Marco in 1996. He played for two more years in Liga de Honra and scored four goals in 52 games. In 1998, he joined Pacos de Ferreira in Liga de Honra. He made 46 appearances and scored nine goals during the following two seasons. After scoring one goal in nine games for Marco, he returned to Marco for 2000-01 and then travelled to England to try out the Football League club Plymouth Argyle.

Reisinho started his career in 1988 with Primeira Liga side Porto. After joining Liga de Honra side Penafiel, he made his team debut in 1993. After short-term loans with Felgueiras, Primeira Liga club Leca and Marco, he joined Segunda Divisao side Marco. He spent two more years with Marco, and two more with Pacos de Ferreira in Liga de Honra. Reisinho was reunited with Marco in 2000 and joined Plymouth Argyle, an English Football League club in 2001. The following year, he returned to Portugal where he played with Vila Mea and Gondomar.
