Michael W. Crooke was born in Eugene, Oregon. He graduated from Aloha High School in 1975. After graduating from the BUD/S (Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL/SEAL) class, Crooke was a Navy SEAL with Underwater Demolition Team 12 (12 (UDT12), for four years. According to business publications, Crooke’s experience with the SEALs was a foundational part of his style as a business leader.
