She was the 2006 U.S. junior bronze medalist. In addition, she won two ISU Junior Grand Prix gold medals (silver at 2006 JGP Romania, and silver at 2008 JGP Italy). She won bronze at 2010 Nebelhorn Trophy after moving up to the senior ranks. She decided to represent the Philippines in 2011, She won bronze at the 2013 Asian Open Trophy as well as two Philippine national titles (2012 and 2013). She competed in two Four Continents Championships.
Bulanhagui, who was a Filipino national champion in November 2011, announced that she would be competing in international events for the 2012-13 season. She finished 17th at the 2013 Four Continents Championships in Osaka (Japan), in February. She won bronze at the Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy in August 2013. She placed 15th at the 2015 Four Continents Championships, Seoul, South Korea.
