Maxim Zavozin is one of the most popular and richest Figure Skater who was born on March 2, 1985 in Moscow, Russia. Maxim Igorevich Zavozin (Russian name Maksim Igorevich Zavozin; March 2, 1985), is an ex- competitive ice dancer who has appeared internationally for both the United States of America and Hungary. He is the 2010 Cup of Russia silver-medalist and the Hungarian national champion (2009, 2010). He is also the 2006 Four Continents silver champion and 2005 World Junior Champion.
Hoffmann/Zavozin didn’t compete on the Grand Prix circuit during the 2008-09 season but they won the 2009 Hungarian National title and were granted a berth at the 2009 European Championships. They skated at Europeans despite Zavozin’s fever. However, their condition worsened so they had to pull out before the free dance. Due to Hoffmann’s serious head injury, they missed the 2009 World Championships.
In the 2010–11 season, Hoffmann/Zavozin made their first appearance together on the Grand Prix series. Their first event was 2010 Cup of China where they placed fourth. At 2010 Cup of Russia, they won silver, their first medal on the senior Grand Prix series. They finished third in both the short and free dance and set personal best scores in both. They competed at the 2011 European Championships where they finished 8th after receiving some low levels from the technical panel and a small stumble. On March 30, 2011, Hoffmann was hospitalized. Hoffmann / Zavozin had to withdraw from the 2011 World Championships. They did not compete in the 2011–12 season but said in March 2012 that they were considering returning to competition.
Hoffmann/Zavozin did not qualify for the Grand Prix series during the 2009-10 season. They placed 10th at the 2010 European Championships. They were 13th in the 2010 Olympics. They finished 10th at the 2010 World Championships.

In September 2007, Zavozin joined forces with Nora Hoffmann, a Hungarian to compete for Hungary. They had previously competed against one another at the 2004 Junior Worlds.
Morgan Matthews and Zavozin were teamed up in 2001. His mother Elena Garanina and Valeriy Spiridonov, both from Sunrise, Florida, were his coaches. They were the U.S. junior champions in 2003 and 2004, and won the 2005 World Junior title. They were awarded the pewter medal at 2006 U.S. Championships, and sent to 2006 Four Continents, where they won silver. They finished fifth at the 2007 U.S. Championships. Matthews and Zavozin ended their partnership on February 26, 2007.
Zavozin became a U.S. citizen on December 30, 2005. He became a Hungarian citizen on 25 January 2010, just before the 2010 Winter Olympics.
