Marius Baciu is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on May 1, 1975 in Mediaș, Romania. Marius Achim Baciu (born 1 May 1975 in Medias) is a Romanian former football player and the current football coach of the Oman Professional League club Sohar SC.
In 2005 through 2007, he was a member from his Otelul Galati squad. In 2007 Baciu signed a deal with the newly U Cluj. U Cluj.
While at Concordia Chiajna in 2015, Baciu successfully managed to keep the team away from the relegation in his last season in charge with the team.
The year 2002 was the time he quit Steaua and joined France with Lille OSC but after two poor seasons, he was let go from contract and signed by the German team Rot-Weiss Oberhausen an unrestricted free agent.

Baciu started his professional career as a child at Gaz Metan Medias, before becoming a member of the team from FC Inter Sibiu as a professional in 1992. A year later, he was loaned out to his former club Gaz Metan Medias, rejoining FC Inter Sibiu in 1994.
The year 1996 was the time that FC Inter Sibiu was removed to Liga I, but Baciu who was then 21 was hired by Steaua Bucuresti, who won the championship both in 1998 and 1997 as well as winning the Romanian Cup in 1999. Following a new championship in 2001, Baciu was unable the opportunity to extend his agreement with Steaua and, as a consequence being sent to the reserves team. In his time in Steaua, Baciu was also the captain of the team.
In summer 2011, Baciu signed a two-year contract with Romanian side Politehnica Iași. In August 2011, he was released from his contract. Since he started his coaching career Baciu has achieved great praise for his consistent results specially when taking Vointa Sibiu from second Romanian Division to First Romanian League and keeping the team in the first places in the championship.
