Greene was a member of the Toronto Argonauts for twelve games in 1983. He was a part of fourteen games played by the Minnesota Vikings in the 1984 season. From 1985 to 1987, he played 21 games with the Toronto Argonauts.

Greene was the 296th pick of the 1981 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams. In 1981, he played thirteen games with the Toronto Argonauts. During the 1982 season, he played sixteen games for Saskatchewan Roughriders.
