He is the first captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs’ American Hockey League affiliate team, The Toronto Marlies. The Ottawa Senators drafted him in the 27th round of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft.
Marc Moro was chosen as the Toronto Marlies’ first captain in October 2005. Moro was also the last captain of the St. John’s Maple Leafs during their 15 -year-old history in the 2004-05 AHL Season.
Marc Moro has never worn an Ottawa Senators jersey. His rights were sold to Ted Drury’s Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in 1996 for Jason York and Shaun Van Allen. He played in one NHL (National Hockey League) game with the Mighty Ducks during the 1997-98 season. He was traded to the Nashville Predators as a goaltender Dominic Roussel, along with Chris Mason.
