Mack Wilberg is one of the most popular and richest Composer who was born on February 20, 1955 in Price, Utah, United States. Mack J. Wilberg, born February 20, 1955, is an American composer and arranger. He also conducts choral clinics. Since 2008, he has been the music director at Temple Square’s Tabernacle Choir.

Wilberg studied music at Brigham Young University and the University of Southern California. He returned to BYU in 2003 as a professor of Music. From May 1999 to his appointment as Tabernacle Choir director, he was the assistant director of the Choir and the music director of The Temple Square Chorale of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Wilberg is an accomplished composer and arranger. His works are published by Oxford University Press.

From 1984 to 1999 Wilberg taught music at BYU. He was the director of the Men’s Choir and Concert Choir. He was also a member and composer of the American Piano Quartet. The quartet toured worldwide and received many original works.

He earned both Master’s and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees and a doctoral dissertation that researched works for piano and chorus.

Wilberg’s numerous choral compositions and arrangements are performed and recorded by choral organizations throughout the world. For many of the works he has written/arranged for the Choir, public performances have involved guests artists invited by the Choir, including Renée Fleming, Frederica von Stade, Bryn Terfel, the King’s Singers, Audra McDonald, David Archuleta, Natalie Cole, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Kristin Chenoweth, Madeleine Albright, Walter Cronkite and Claire Bloom. In 2006, he was awarded the Brock Commission from the American Choral Directors Association.
