Baiano’s entry into political media was made with Hillary Clinton’s 2008 bid for the presidency. This idea came from a film pitch to former U.S. president Bill Clinton. Baiano met Bill Clinton in December 2007 at a Toronto book lecture. He was there to meet him briefly and pitch an idea for a theatrical campaign. Baiano was given his business card by President Clinton and asked to get in touch. Baiano would then produce a three minute video using the six hours of raw footage that he had been given. After being accepted, Baiano joined John McCain’s presidential campaign. After the 2008 election, Lucas would release Lucky Strike, a documentary about his behind-the scenes experiences with Clinton’s campaign and the production of the commercial.
