In 2005-06, Hawker was under the guidance of Richard Callaghan. She was awarded bronze at the 2006 Canadian Championships, and she placed fourth at the 2006 Four Continents. She was the first alternate at the 2006 Winter Olympics, 2006 World Championships. The fifth estate featured five Canadian figure skating athletes as they tried to qualify for the Olympic team.

Lesley Hawker, a Canadian ex-competitive figure skater was born May 1, 1981. She is the 2003 Winter Universiade bronze and 2003 Nebelhorn Trophy Silver medallists, as well as a two-time Canadian bronze medallist.

Hawker began skating in 1987. After placing eighth in the short skate and third in free skating, Hawker won the bronze medal in 2003 at the Winter Universiade Tarvisio. She was second in both the short and free skate segments of the 2003 Nebelhorn Trophy in Oberstdorf in September. In September she won silver.

The following season, Hawker repeated as the Canadian national bronze medallist and went on to place 7th at the 2007 Four Continents. In the later part of her career, she trained at the Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club and Onyx Skating Academy. She announced her retirement from competitive skating on June 23, 2008.
