Katarina Gerboldt is one of the most popular and richest Figure Skater who was born on March 28, 1989 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Katarina Alexandrovna (Russian: Katarina Aleksandrovna Gerbol’dt born 29 March 1989) is a Russian figure skater. As a single skater, her highest performance in one ISU Championship was sixth at the 2009 European Championships. She changed to pairs skating, collaborating along with Alexander Enbert. They were at the same ISU Championship, the 2011 European Championships which they won fourth.

In the 2011-12 season Gerboldt and Enbert participated at the same Grand Prix event, the 2011 Cup of Russia. They were sent the team Skate Canada but withdrew due to injury . Gerboldt ruptured the ligament. The surgery was performed on August 2 – one week after her injury – and again on October 3. The coach was Oleg Vasiliev, the Gerboldt/Enbert team returned to competitive play during the 2013-14 season, but broke up in April 2014.

Gerboldt announced her retirement from competitive figure skating on September 23, 2015, to begin coaching.

In the 2010-11 season, Gerboldt/Enbert made their debut on the international stage during the 2010 Cup of Nice, which they won. They placed fourth in the 2011 Cup of Russia, their sole 2010-11 Grand Prix event. In 2011, the Russian Nationals, they placed fourth in the short competition while they placed fifth on the longer program, and finished fourth overall. Since Tatiana Volosozhar / Maxim Trankov were not eligible to compete in this year’s European Championships, Gerboldt/Enbert were chosen to make the team to compete in the event. They finished fifth in the short course with a personal best of 57.50 4th in the free course as well as an all-time personal record (112.45) and came in fourth overall, with 169.95 scores, which was the top overall score.

The 2008-09 season was a pivotal stage in Gerboldt’s career. She took home her bronze award at 2009’s Russian Championships and, as both silver and gold winners Adelina Sotnikova as well as Elizaveta Tuktamysheva were too old to compete in international competitions she was selected as a member of the European Championships team. She was sixth in the competition, performing skating while suffering from a drain problem in her nose as a result of sinusitis. She was instructed by Tatiana Mishina and Alexei Mishin in Saint Petersburg until 2009 when she relocated towards CSKA Moscow and began working with Svetlana Sokolovskaya.

After a difficult 2009-2010 year, Tatiana Druchinina suggested to Gerboldt that she try pair skating. Gerboldt relocated in Saint Petersburg, where coaches Tamara Moskvina and Artur Dmitriev suggested she try in tandem with Alexander Enbert, whom she was acquainted with since her early days. The partnership was announced in March 2010.

On July 12, 2014, it was announced that she had teamed up with French singles skater Brian Joubert. In November 2014, however, Joubert confirmed his competitive retirement.
