Kane Roberts (born Robert William Athas 16 January 1962) is an American heavy metal guitarist who is best famous for his stint with Alice Cooper’s group between 1985 and 1988. In addition, he’s been a solo artist as well as his cover of the previously unreleased Bon Jovi song “Does Anybody Really Fall In Love Anymore” (which was already performed by Cher on her Heart of Stone album) reached into the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. He also had an appearance playing a forklift operator the film of Wes Craven, Shocker.

Following Raise Your Fist Roberts recorded his solo debut album Kane Roberts, which included Cooper’s lyrics for “Full Pull.” He later appeared Cooper’s 1989 Trash album, performing the guitar in “Bed of Nails,” which he wrote with Cooper. A few years later Cooper released his second album by himself, Saints and Sinners, featuring the song written by Bon Jovi “Does Anybody Really Fall in Love Anymore? “, previously recorded by Cher and also by Cher.

The track and video (also featuring Kane) for “Asylum” also included Jakob Samuel from Sweden’s The Poodles.

Although he’s mostly an accomplished guitarist, Roberts is also a proficient vocalist with extreme high range, which can be seen on one of his projects solo. Roberts has been a vocalist on numerous albums, such as Steve Vai’s Sex & Religion, Desmond Child’s Discipline as well as the track “Shocker” by the Dudes of Wrath and the Dudes of Wrath, which was used as the song’s title for the 1989 film with the identical name.
