Joe Grant is one of the most popular and richest American artist who was born on January 23, 1957 in New York, United States. Donald Norman Joseph Grant (January 23 1957 from January 23, 1957 until January 5, 2011,) was a Canadian former hockey player. He was a member of Team Canada at the 1980 Winter Olympics.
Grant was a participant in the inaugural Canadian Olympic Academy (COA) in Calgary (1983) and was a part of the Canadian delegation to the International Olympic Academy in Archaia Olympia (1984). He was a part of the COA committee that selected athletes in 1986-87.
He returned to Toronto in 1982-83 and steered Toronto’s Blues to a first-place regular season performance as well as an OUAA gold medal. Grant later took to the national stage again and was named the top defenceman in the Pravda Cup tournament in Leningrad, Russia.

A player on the Varsity Blues team from 1977-78 OUAA champion squad, Grant joined the University of Toronto in 1977 following a successful junior hockey career playing for The Buffalo Tondas, St. Catharines Black Hawks and the Kitchener Rangers. Grant was selected as an OUAA defenceman on the first team of all-star defensemen during his second year of intercollegiate play.
Grant was chosen to the national team in 1979. He then was selected to represent Canada in Canada’s 1980 Winter Olympics, where he had an assist, and added two penalty minute over six games. After returning to complete his studies in Toronto’s University of Toronto, he played one year with Modo as a member of Modo’s Swedish Elite League and was coach for a year as a player in Tokyo.
The Sports Hall of Fame has honoured U of T’s greatest athletes and builders in 2010. It was established by the T-Holders’ Association in 1987 as part of an ongoing effort to preserve and display the records relating to the historical tradition of athletic, academic, and community leadership fostered by the University of Toronto.
