With Crowder’s six touchdowns, he became the first Redskin to record at least six touchdowns in a season within the first two years of a career since 2009 (Fred Davis). Crowder, a Monroe native, was a three year letterman at Monroe High School, under the guidance of Johnny Sowell. He was a key player in Monroe High School’s three-year record of 29-10, which included three state playoff berths. He had 26 catches, 618 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior. Crowder was a participant in the 74th Annual Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas, which took place in Spartanburg (South Carolina) on December 18, 2010. Crowder was also involved in track and field as well as basketball. Crowder helped Monroe achieve a 32-1 record, and won the 2010 1A state basketball title. This led to him being named Rocky River Conference Player-of-the Year in basketball. He rushed for 641 yards, 11 touchdowns, and caught 41 passes for 790 yard and nine touchdowns.
