Iryna Volodymyrivna Herashchenko (Ukrainian: Ірина Володимирівна Геращенко ) is a People’s Deputy of Ukraine of IX convocation from the European Solidarity party, a politician and journalist of Ukraine. She is a Merited Journalist of Ukraine (2000). Former First Deputy Chairwoman of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s parliament), also serving as President’s Humanitarian Envoy at the Minsk peace talks regarding the War in Donbass.
Herashchenko worked as a journalist for Inter and then as a presidential press secretary in 2005–06 for Viktor Yushchenko. In 2006–07, she was a president of the Information Agency UNIAN. In November 2007, she entered parliament for the first time as a member of the Our Ukraine–People’s Self-Defense Bloc. For the 2012 Ukrainian parliamentary elections, she joined the Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reform of Vitali Klitschko.
In the July 2019 Ukrainian parliamentary election Herashchenko was placed third on the party list of European Solidarity. She was elected to parliament.
