Dingman returned to lacrosse after a year off and was awarded the William H. “Dinty” Moore Award in 2006. This award recognizes Navy’s most offensive player. Dingman scored a team record 33 goals, and had 11 assists. He also collected 31 ground balls throughout the season.

Dingman was drafted in the third round of the 2007 MLL Collegiate Draft by the Philadelphia Barrage of the Major League Lacrosse.

Dingman finished his career as Navy’s second all-time leading goal scorer with 125 goals and finished fourth all-time in points scored at Navy with 188 points (125 goals, 63 assists).

Dingman’s life took a dramatic turn in 2005 when he became academically ineligible, and was disenrolled from Naval Academy. Dingman attended Jefferson Community College in New York, but he did not play lacrosse. On the first day of classes, August 2005, he was readmitted to Naval Academy.

Dingman was a freshman at Navy in 2003. He came off the bench in 11 games to lead Navy’s Midshipmen scoring with 23 goals, 17 assists. Dingman also scored 20 groundballs for the year, earning Second-Team All ECAC honors.
