At the age of 17, he was recruited by Mosul FC. After three years of service with the club, Mohammed was signed by Al Quwa Al Jawiya, Baghdad’s soccer team in 2000.
Hawar scored against Australia in the 2007 AFC Asian cup. This goal allowed the Iraqis to take more control of the match and eventually, Hawar was awarded the third goal. The match ended 3-1 in favor of Iraq.
In December 2007 Hawar signed 6 months contract with the Qatari Club Al-Khor.

Hawar Mulla Mohammed Taher Zebari, Kurdish: haewr mHaed thr zYbr ; Arabic: hwr ml mHmd Thr zybry ) is a former Iraqi-kurdish footballer. He was born in Mosul, Iraq, on 1 June 1981. Before retiring on June 11, 2015, he was a winger/wingback for Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and Apollon Limassol.
His superb scoring skills and quick surges down the left side won him the admiration of the club’s supporters. He was also called up to the national youth soccer team, which had qualified for FIFA U-20 World Cup Argentina 2001. After he had a great international debut, he was almost certain to be a part of the Iraq’s Olympic team.
