It was in 1990 that DC launched Pratt’s very first comic book, Enemy Ace: War Idyll which has been nominated both for the Eisner Award and the Harvey Award. In the end, Enemy Ace: War Idyll has been translated into nine different languages and was at one time included on the reading list in West Point. The book was awarded it the France Info Award for Best Foreign Language Graphic Novel, as well as it was awarded the British Speakeasy Award for Best Foreign Language Graphic Novel.
The Wolverine: Netsuke limited series for Marvel won Pratt the 2003 Eisner Award for Best Painter/Multimedia Artist.
Pratt’s first comics work published was in Marvel Comics’ Epic Illustrated issue 20 (1983). Since since then his work has been featured on Heavy Metal, Eagle, as well as a variety of other magazines. He also has inked works of other artists as well as designed painted covers to DC Comics.

George Pratt (born October 13 in 1960) is an American illustrator and painter who is known as an artist in the field of comic books.
In the year 1980 at the age of 19 George Pratt left his native Beaumont, Texas, and relocated into New York City to study drawing and painting at the Pratt Institute.
As of the late 2000s, Pratt is working on the book See You in Hell, Blind Boy: A Tales of the Blues, based on his research of the Mississippi Delta. With Steven Budlong and James McGillion, Pratt made a documentary film about his Mississippi travels, also called See You in Hell, Blind Boy. The film won Best Feature Documentary at the 1999 New York International Independent Film & Video Festival.
