Fouimalo “Fou” Fonoti (born November 15th 1991) is an American football offensive lineman, who is currently an unsigned free agent. Fonoti began his college career in Cerritos College before transferring to Michigan State University. Fonoti has also been part from the San Francisco 49ers and Toronto Argonauts.

Fonoti joined The San Francisco 49ers on May 10, 2014, following his decision to go not selected at the time of the 2014 NFL Draft. The team released him or injured him. team on the 29th of July after having suffered a season-ending injury to his leg in practice on July 27 in 2014. He was put on injured reserve on the day of July 30 2014. The 49ers released Fonoti on April 30,

This caused Fonoti to miss the remainder year. The team then redshirted him medically. He was awarded the MSU Football Association’s Community Service & Outreach Award in 2012. Fonoti was a part of all 14 games, and started the final 11 games for the Spartans the final season of his career in 2013. He also earned an honorable recognition All-Big Ten honors after recording 45 knockdowns. Fonoti was also selected to The Allstate Good Works Team for his volunteer work for the community in 2013. He was a part of 30 games, and started 24 at right tackle during his stint playing at Michigan State.

Fonoti played football in high school in Mayfair High School in Lakewood, California. He was invited to participate in two all-star postseason games following his senior year and was selected on the Dream Team of Long Beach’s Press-Telegram. Fonoti was also a second-team all-state selection , and earned Suburban League Offensive Lineman of the Year awards during his senior year in 2008. Fonoti was awarded All-CIF and first-team all-league awards and was named on the Alga Foundation All-Star Team his junior season. Fonoti was also inducted as a member of the Lakewood Youth Hall of Fame.

Fonoti began his college football career in the fall of 2009 at Cerritos College. He played in 11 games, including ten of them as starters in his freshman season in 2009, and was awarded the second-team honors for all- conference. He was awarded All-California Region IV and First-Team All- Northern Conference honors for the National Division in the year 2010. Fonoti led to lead the Cerritos Falcons to an 18-5 record in the two seasons as a member of the team. He was awarded JCFootball.com/JC Grid-Wire as well as Super Prep JUCO All-American honors. Fonoti was named as a California Community College Football Coaches Association All-American. Fonoti was named the fourth-best JUCO offensive lineman as well as the 32nd highest all-around JUCO football player according to SuperPrep.

Fonoti was signed to the Toronto Argonauts’ practice roster in September 2015. He was promoted to the active roster on October 21, 2015. He played in one game for the team during the 2015 season. Fonoti was released by the Argonauts on June 19, 2016.
