Felix Loch (German pronunciation: [‘fe:lIks’loxborn on July 24, 1989) is a German luger and Olympic champion. He has been playing since 1995, and has been part of the German national team since. He has won 14 awards at the FIL World Luge Championships, with 12 golds (Men’s singles 2008, 2009 2012 2013, 2015, 2016 Men’s sprint 2016: Mixed Team Event: 2008 2009, 2012, 2013 2015, 2016) as well as two golds (Men’s singles 2012, 2015). Loch’s men’s singles title in 2008 was his first win as a world champion at the age of age 18. Loch is also the oldest Olympic gold medalist in the history of men’s luge history. Since the year 2014 Loch was a tri- Olympic Gold Medalist.
On the 21st of February 2009, in the 2008-09 Luge World Cup season finale at the Whistler Sliding Centre, Felix Loch was the fastest recorded speed in luge. 153.98 kilometers per hour (95.68 miles per hour).
At the 2018 Winter Olympics, in the men’s singles competition Loch was a heavy favorite and indeed was leading the field after three runs, but in the last run made a mistake which cost him a medal. He ended in the fifth position.
In 2008, at the FIL Europe Luge championships, held in Cesana, Italy, he was sixth in the men’s singles competition.

At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, Loch again won the gold medal in men’s Singles, marking his second consecutive Olympic victory, and he was also in the German team which won gold in the inaugural team relay.
