Emmeric Ong is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on January 25, 1991 in Singapore. Emmeric Ong Yu Min (born 25 January 1991) is an Singaporean footballer currently playing as a defender and a midfielder in the S.League club Warriors FC in the S.League.

Ong joined S.League Champions Warriors FC for the 2015 S.League season, despite failing to play in on the LionsXII during the 2013 Malaysian Super League. Ong made only one Malaysia Cup appearance on the end of play. In the year 2015, Ong was signed by the current S.League Champions Warriors FC and was expected to be a cover player at the defensive end in the Champions League. He was not in the matchday squad for the initial two league matches in the season. He was at the sidelines for the AFC Champions league qualifier against Yadanarbon FC. But things turned around when Ong was allowed to run out during their 2-0 loss to Maldivian team Maziya FC and impressed coach Alex Weaver. Then, he was taken off the bench to face Albirex Niigata FC in their next league gameand began their subsequent AFC cup match in the AFC cup against Bengaluru FC and never looked back. Ong began to take on an initial role in the team and was able to keep international players who were experienced as well for Shi Jiayi and Thomas Beattie from the team. Ong was able to fill in as right back in times of need, but was mostly utilized as an attacking midfielder. In December of 2015, Ong signed on to remain with the Warriors for the 2016 S.League season.

His performances in the 2017 Singapore League Cup, in which the Warriors finished as runners-up, saw him earn a spot in Fourfourtwo’s League Cup team of the year. 2017 proved to be a good year for Ong as he was a mainstay in the team throughout the season, with the club announcing on Facebook that Ong had been retained for the 2018 S.League season.

Ong was signed by MSL team LionsXII during the season 2014. Although he was frequent on the bench Ong had only one appearance for LionsXII during the Malaysia Cup match, for the entirety of the season.

As a starter and impressing coaching staff, Ong caught the eyes of the national youth team. Ong then joined Courts Young Lions as part of the Sea Games Preliminary Squad during the mid-season transfer window. National Service commitments led to the fact that Ong was disqualified from his participation in the Sea Games and was enlisted into the Army on November 3, 2011. In subsequent years, he played in the S.League alongside The Courts Young Lions, however the appearances were restricted because of NS commitments. The year 2013 saw the first time Ong returned to the team of his former 2011 Hougang United coach Aide Iskandar. Then, he started the season as the first central defender for the Courts Young Lions, making seven appearances before being injured in the ACL and was forced to miss the entire season.

In 2017, Ong was called up to the national team for the friendly against Hong Kong and the 2019 Asian Cup Qualifiers against Turkmenistan on 31 August and 5 September respectively. He made his debut and started the game against Hong Kong but was red carded in the 87th minute.
