Born in a family of illustrators, the artist was a player of piano, drums and saxophone in his early years and began writing his own music when he was 16. Tonus-Music Laboratory in Bern (Since 2012, the name was changed to Orbital Garden), which serves as recording studio, public laboratory for experimental research as also a teaching and workshop location It also serves as a stage for non-traditional and interdisciplinary performances, like the 48-hour drumbeat show that is non-stop for 48 hours. The lab has been used to collaborate with including Jojo Mayer Skuli Sverrisson, Pierre-Yves Borgeaud, Peter Scherer, Ania Losinger, Christian Zehnder, Vidya Shah, Milind Raikar, Sanju Sahai Kaspar Rast Asita Hamidi Bjorn Meyer Andi Pupato Norbert Pfammatter Nik Bartsch, Sha, and Zimoun and to stage various performances as well as lectures, exhibitions and installations. He has also recorded recordings of groups like Fabian Kuratli (Fab Four), Asita Hamidi, Banz Oester, Nik Bartsch (Mobile) or Christian Zehnder.
