David Isberg is one of the most popular and richest Swedish musician who was born on February 23, 1975 in Täby Municipality, Sweden. David Isberg (born 23 February 1975) is a Swedish musician who is most well-known for his role in the founding of the legendary Swedish rock and metal group Opeth. David Isberg is also known as DJ Dake who has an impressive DJ career that includes electronic and independent music. often influenced by Madchester obscure and 70s rock and the psychedelic genre. Also, he DJs the old traditional heavy, thrash and death metal, as well as speed.

In 2009, David was able to become an experienced Sommelier at Vinkallan Wine School in Stockholm. Since 2015, he’s worked on imports of wines and gives seminars as well as tastings on a professional basis. In the summer of 2018, was his first time working as a permanent taste-leader for the local craft brewery Fjaderholmarnas Bryggeri.

David was also active in extreme blues maniacs Dubplate Connection, which released their debut album Plays and Sings the Blues in 2009. They performed shows in Sweden and U.S.A. to support the album. The other three members of Dubplate Connection are Mårten Tiljander, Linus Dielemans and the mysterious Southside Slim. David left the band ahead of the North American tour and once again started to play with his old colleagues from Mynjun under the monicker of Tutorial.

Since 2011 David renamed his band bloodofjupiter after his interest in astronomy and wine (the name refers to Tuscan grape Sangiovese in a astrophysical occult way of spelling putting the three words into one). The band released various rehearsal demos and a live recording (also to be released on cassette in 2019)on the internet. He runs a podcast with metal musicians, being beer geeks and other interesting persons named “The Death Metal Sommelier & the nerds of the beast” and performs his special spoken word performances “death metal poetry” reading from his debut book “Ornament of the Omnious Demoniac – the coagulated blood of David” released in 325 copies in July 2017 and his up and coming works as well as work in the Swedish wine industry and occasionally still deejays at mostly metal shows and bars. David was with Opeth until 1992 when David left the band due to differences in his creative style. The duties of lead singer were assumed by Akerfeldt.

David created Opeth together with members of Taby in the spring of 1990. Mikael was a long-time acquaintance in a group called Eruption and was contemplating an exit from the group. David suggested that he be a bass player for Opeth and Akerfeldt agreed to the offer. When he arrived for the rehearsal however, none the other band members were aware that Mikael was coming, and they were not keen on kicking off the player who they had already. The subsequent argument erupted with the entire band of Opeth (aside David) David) departing. They changed their name to Crowley in 1991 and put out a demonstration disc titled “The Gate” in 1991.

The band was formed in the early days with a name which he dubbed Satanic Slaughter, which he changed his name when the band was discovered from Sweden that had similar name, and sent demos were released to Casket. Casket performed two live shows. David was in the grindcore band Dr Deaths Armageddon playing a couple of shows, and released a live cassette as well as a rehearsal demo. David was a member of the Swedish black metal group deat Procreation (1989-1991). In Procreation David used the name of the Unholy Emperor. The other member of the group David was Christofer Johnsson the person most well- known for his role as the lead singer of the group Therion with the name Necro. Procreation recorded two demo tapes (“Enter the Land of the Dark Forgotten Souls of Eternity” 1991 and “Procreation of the Antichrist” 1990 ), as well as two live performances (both held at Hunddagis, Handen 1 held in either 1989 or 1990 (the date has not been established)) and the second one taking place on February 23, 1991 (to mark David’s 16th birthday) with several Therion group members filling the slots that were empty.

By 2009, David was active in at least two extreme metal bands Braathum (named after an ancient mansion in David’s possession) and the restarted version of Mynjun named Tutorial. There are also rumours that he is about to finish lyrical works that for around seven to eight years he has been working on writing. (bookreleased July 2017).
