Brcic didn’t play again with the senior team until 1984. The year before, he was first goalkeeper to be selected of the U.S. team at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. The same year, he was a part of the May 30 draw against Italy and also a four-point World Cup qualifying win against the Netherlands Antilles on October 6. He also played in one game for the national team’s senior side in with a 2-1 World Cup qualification victory over Trinidad and Tobago on May 15 the 15th of May, 1985.
