Danny Alcock is one of the most popular and richest English footballer who was born on February 15, 1984 in Newcastle-under-Lyme, England, United Kingdom. Adam Alcock, the younger of Alcock’s brothers. Adam has also been a goalie in non-league football. Adam is certainly the better goalie of the two. The father of the pair is Barry Alcock, the former Stafford Rangers goalkeeper in the 1980s.
He was signed by Barnsley on August 3, 2003. He was a substudy for initially Sasa Ilic, and later Marlon Beresford who, in turn, made his debut in the league on April 12, 2004 in a 3-3 draw home against Queens Park Rangers, replacing the injured Beresford at the midpoint of the first quarter. It was his first appearance in the team at Barnsley as he had to be then released after the season.
Alcock played for the England C team in their match against Northern Ireland in 2007. Alcock was selected for the Team GBR squad that won the silver medal at the 2011 Summer Universiade.
On 18 December 2008, Alcock made the short journey to local side, Tamworth.
He joined the club in July of 2004 and was a five-time player during the Conference the following season. In the 2005-06 season Accrington was awarded the title and was promoted into the Football League, but Alcock was only on the field one time during the 2-0 defeat at home to Kidderminster Harriers on the final day of the season when Stanley took a break from regular keeper Robert Elliot. He could have been more active particularly the case of a broken arm that occurred in the reserve game kept him from replacing injury- stricken and about retirement Stuart Jones. The club released him shortly after the game.

Daniel James Alcock (born 15 February 1984) is an English former professional footballer who was goalkeeper.
Alcock was born close to Stoke-on-Trent and was a part of local club Stoke City as a trainee at the age of. The club made him a professional in the summer of 2001, but was let go in May 2003, but he was not able to make his first appearance in the squad for Stoke as he signed for the local club Stone Dominoes and subsequently moving onto Kidsgrove Athletic.
Alcock joined Stafford Rangers in August 2006, quickly establishing himself as Rangers’ regular goalkeeper the following season. At the end of the 2007–08 season, Alcock won the fans player of the season, managers player of the season and the players’ player of the season awards for his great goalkeeping, despite conceding almost 100 goals that year. Alcock stayed as the first choice goalkeeper in 2008–09, fighting off tough competition from new goalkeeper Tim Sandercombe.
