Daniel “Dan” Lacroix (born on March 11, 1969) is a Canadian former professional hockey player. In December of 2019 Lacroix was appointed as the coach in charge of the Moncton Wildcats in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The assistant was a coach with the Montreal Canadiens until April 27 in 2018, when he was appointed the head manager of the Lithuanian national team. Lacroix was selected with the New York Rangers in the second round, 33rd overall from the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. Seven-year NHL veteran, left wing Lacroix was a player for the New York Rangers, Boston Bruins, Philadelphia Flyers, Edmonton Oilers, and the New York Islanders.
On the 18th of October 18, 2018, Lithuanian Ice Hockey Federation appointed Lacroix as the head coach of the national team’s men’s national team under a one-year terms.
Lacroix was appointed to the Montreal Canadiens on July 30 in 2014, to serve in the capacity of assistant coach. She was in charge until 2018.

In Montreal, Quebec, Lacroix was a part of 188 NHL games with the New York Rangers, Boston Bruins, Philadelphia Flyers, Edmonton Oilers and the New York Islanders scoring seven assists and 11 goals for 18 points as well as three79 minutes of penalty time. In addition to being a part of the NHL, Lacroix also spent eight seasons with the American Hockey League (AHL) and three seasons in the International Hockey League (IHL) and four seasons with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). In 2000, Lacroix won the Turner Cup championship with the Chicago Wolves.
From 2002 to 2006 Lacroix was the assistant coach for the Moncton Wildcats. While he was with the team during that time, the Wildcats made it to the QMJHL finals two times, including an appearance at the Memorial Cup appearance in 2006. The season was in its midway point, Lacroix took over as Moncton’s interim head coach during the remainder during the regular season. From 2006 until 2009, Lacroix was an head coach of the New York Islanders. On the 5th of August 2009, Lacroix was appointed Assistant Coach for the Hamilton Bulldogs for the 2009-10 AHL season. After Guy Boucher was hired as coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Lacroix was hired to follow Boucher to Tampa Bay. In 2013-14, Lacroix was the assistant coach for the New York Rangers.
On January 21, 2019, Kölner Haie from the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) announced Lacroix to be their head coach for the rest of the season after the firing of Peter Draisaitl.
