Dan Skipper (born September 20 1994) is an American football offensive tackle who plays for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). He played his college football in the University of Arkansas. At the time of his death in the year 2020 Skipper ranks third in NFL history with a height of 6’10 inches.

Skipper was not selected in the 2017 NFL Draft. It was believed that he was not selected because of a chronic blood disorder that was discovered during the evaluation of prospects. In the absence of an agreement as a free agent who was not drafted, Skipper received an invitation to join to the Dallas Cowboys’ rookie mini camp as a potential tryout.

On September 1, 2018, Skipper was waived by the Lions and was signed to the practice squad the next day. He was released on September 5, 2018.

On November 12, 2019, Skipper was claimed off waivers by the Detroit Lions. He was waived on November 22 and re-signed to the practice squad. He was promoted to the active roster on December 14, 2019.

On May 16 17, 2017, The Dallas Cowboys signed Skipper as an undrafted free agent.
