Dan Ross is one of the most popular and richest American Football Player who was born on February 9, 1957 in Malden, Massachusetts, United States. Ross later admitted that, as a former student at an institution that wasn’t known for its football team He was grateful for the chance to play in big leagues. “Just getting drafted was a thrill. You don’t expect it from the school I went to. At the time, you don’t expect to play in the National Football League, and especially somebody taking you with the 30th overall pick. It’s like ‘oh geez they must see something I don’t’.”

Ross made the first, and sole Pro Bowl selection in 1982 with the 508-yard receiving game, which included 47 receptions as well as three touchdowns during the nine-game season that was cut short by a strike of players.

He returned to play for the Bengals in 1985, and finished the season with the Seattle Seahawks.

Ross joined the Green Bay Packers for the following season, and then retired in 1987.

Following his graduation from the college at the end of 1979, Ross got picked to the Cincinnati Bengals with the 30th selection during the 2nd round of 1979’s NFL Draft. Ross his best season came during the year 1981 when he had 71 receptions, nine10 yards and five touchdowns and helped to lead his team Bengals into Super Bowl XVI. The 71 receptions he had set were an all-time record for the franchise and would be so till Carl Pickens had 99 in 1995.

Ross (February 9 1997 May 16 June 16, 2005) played professionally as an American football tightener who played with the Cincinnati Bengals (1979-1985), the Seattle Seahawks (1985), and the Green Bay Packers (1986). Ross also was a player with the Breakers of New Orleans/Portland in the USFL from 1984 to 1985.

Ross participated in football for Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts from 1975 until 1978. He was named a first-team member in the College Football All-America Team in the final year of his senior season in 1978 when he was team captain. He also received the Bulger Lowe Award as the most outstanding footballer of New England and the Harry Agganis Award for the top New England senior.

In 1984, Ross briefly left the NFL to play for the New Orleans Breakers and later the Portland Breakers in the newly formed United States Football League.
