Colin Craig Hatchman (born 2 February 1975) is an Australian rock musician who was part of The Screaming Jets as their drummer between 2001 and 2004. In 2004, he was a member of Nathan Cavaleri in Dirty Skanks, Hatchman broke the Guinness Book of World Records as the “The Loudest Drummer In the World on the 4th of August 2006, and the audio was recorded at 137.2 dBA.
When tour schedules began to conflict, Hatchman left The Screaming Jets and his last performance was recorded to be an concert dvd Rock On, which was released in the year following. Additional singles of Dirty Skanks’ Voluptuosity, “Backyard Parties” and “Shots” were released in 2005 and were heard by radio stations and were picked for cable stations throughout Australia.
He has begun schooling a new generation of drummers at The Rockstatution and they played shows at the Newcastle Civic Theatre. The Band formed with guitarist Nathan Cavaleri “Dirty Skanks” have formed into a new group with the moniker Nat Col and the Kings. Have begun touring with fellow Aussie Rockers Electric Mary, playing several shows through September – October 2010.
The Screaming Jets guitarist Grant Walmsley had seen Hatchman playing drums in Little Hornet. The Sreaming Jets had already released five studio albums and were looking for a replacement for departed drummer Craig Rosevear—Hatchman joined in 2001. He made headlines when kicked off an aeroplane on the way home from a tour. With Hatchman, the band recorded a double live album Live Forever in June. Soon after, they took a break and returned to touring and performing in late 2002. They recorded an EP, Heart of the Matter, which was released in August 2004.
Australian guitar player Nathan Cavaleri was looking to form a new band, Dirty Skanks, and met with Hatchman. They began jamming together and writing new songs. Hatchman had been recording and mixing and shooting videos for Dirty Skanks’ debut album Voluptuosity while juggling tour engagements along with The Screaming Jets. In the summer of 2003, Voluptuosity was released. Voluptuosity was released with the initial single “MILF” being picked up by radio stations across the US.

Hatchman was born in Brisbane and started making drumming noises beginning of 1980s, when he was just 8 years old. He was in big bands, marching bands, metal and punk bands, but eventually found his niche in rock bands.
Hatchman was part of Brisbane-based group Little Hornet which formed in the mid 1990s before moving to Sydney between 1994 and 1999.
