Armand declares that she doesn’t adhere to the left-right political model, and argues that in Romania the amount of money that is lost due to corruption is much greater than the distinctions between left-right policies. Yet, she regards herself in the French political context, as a person who is naturally right-wing however, she believes that Romania has a large population who require the assistance of the state. She believes that the people who were not able to adapt to the changing times and are therefore no longer of value to society, need to be brought back into society.
In the 2019 European elections, Armand was fourth on the USR-PLUS list (first woman) and she won a MP seat. Armand is one of only two women among the eight MP elected on the USR-PLUS list. She has since been on the Committee on Budgets.
As of 2002 Armand was employed by Airbus throughout France and Germany and Germany, directing a portion of the A380 project management team. She joined Airbus in 2005 and was promoted to the IT Director for Distrigaz Sud, the Romanian subsidiary of the giant gas distribution company GDF Suez, later moving to Paris as the Innovation Director of GDF Suez Europe. Between September 2013 and March 2017, Armand was the head of the Romanian and Bulgarian divisions of French engineering firm Egis.

Armand believes that Romania is in need of a change in its political elite. She sent an open letter the president Klaus Iohannis in which she demanded the two major parties in Romania (the Social Democratic Party and the National Liberal Party, both of which are rooted of the National Salvation Front) to apologize for their role with the Mineriad in June of 1990. Her family came from Vichy which is where she was a student at the primary and secondary schools. She attended the Ecole Centrale Paris and then the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she met her eventual partner, Sergiu Moroianu, a Romanian mathematician. She was married Moroianu in 1997 and relocated from Bucharest around 1999. The following years she spent a few years between France and Germany before returning to Bucharest in 2003.
Immediately after entering politics in 2016, Armand was accused that, in her capacity of director of Egis Romania, she personally profited from a motorway building contract gone awry between the Romanian state company CNAIR and Bechtel Corporation. Armand denies vigorously any involvement in the Bechtel affair. She responded that she started working for Egis only in September 2013, months after CNAIR’s contract with Bechtel ended (in March 2013); that Egis verified the quality of the works of Bechtel, was not bound by contractual links to Bechtel, and defended the interests of its client CNAIR; that moreover she was not a stakeholder in Egis. In spite of her explanations, Armand is frequently depicted in some media venues as having “cashed 50M dollars from Bechtel”. Her accusers include former Romanian MP Sebastian Ghiță, currently on Europol’s ‘Most Wanted’ list on corruption charges.
