Gretchen Magbanua Abaniel (born November 4 1985) is an Filipino professional boxer from the Philippines. She was her WIBA mini-flyweight title between 2009 until 2011, and also she held the WIBF mini-flyweight title between 2015 until 2016. She also fought for several world titles in three weight classes: for the WBA, IBF and WBO female mini-flyweight titles from 2007 and 2017, the WBA female title in 2013 for atomweight; as well as the WBO female light-flyweight title in 2018.
Abaniel was victorious in her first world title bout against the Thai’s Nongbua Lookpraiaree. an unanimous decision in the tenth round let her claim the vacant women’s International Boxing Association World minimumweight title. She lost the title against Samson Tor Buamas in Sukhothai, Thailand on February 19 2011.
She also participated on a Philippine variety show called It’s Showtime:Trabahula in March 10, 2016
