Clive Shorten (born 28 June 1973) is an English former figure skater in competitive competition. He was an 1993 Piruetten bronze medalist as well as the 1993 Czech Skate silver medalist, and 1999 British national champion. He skated in the free skating during the three ISU Championships as a single skater.

Shorten was later an instructor, working for Alexander Palace until 2004. He was hired in January of 2005. became the as the head coach of Riverside Ice and Leisure Centre in Chelmsford. After July, Shorten made the move to Cornwall and began an opportunity in carpentry. However, he was still a coach for ice hockey in Plymouth.

Shorten’s initial coaches included David Clements and Ludmila Vasilyeva. In 1998-99 He was awarded the British national title, being coached by Viktor Teslia at the Chelmsford Riverside Ice Centre. Shorten made it to the free skate during the 1999 European Championships in Prague, which he placed 24th but did not qualify for his 1999 World Championships.
