In 2012, she was awarded the Dansk Fashion Award when Designers Remix was named “Brand of the Year” 2012. In 2013, she won the Elle Style Award for “Brand of the Year 2013” on behalf of Designers Remix.

As of 1999 Eskildsen was appointed design director at the academy of design in Kolding. After graduating, she began working for IC Companys (a Danish listed fashion house). In 2002, she founded Designers Remix by Charlotte Eskildsen together with her husband. The brand at the time was managed by IC Companys. In 2009, the couple purchased 49percent of the shares of Designers Remix A/S.
She got married Niels Hesselbjerg Eskildsen on the 30th of January 2002. They have two children: daughters Smilla Hesselbjerg Ekildsen (born in 2006) in addition to Sofine Hesselbjerg Ekildsen (born in 2010).
In 2008, Eskildsen launched her children’s collection “Little Remix”. The collection holds thin cashmere knits employing a toned down colour scale, cool prints and fashion pieces.
