Following two months spent in SanDiego, Billingsley returned to Thomas Road Baptist Church where he was again the worship leader. He also was on the advisory committee that was part of the Center for Worship at Liberty University. The year 2011 saw him assisted establish a new publishing firm, Red Tie Music, which is a joint venture with Thomas Road Baptist Church and Liberty University. On May 14, 2017, Billingsley announced that he was going back his home church of Shadow Mountain Community Church to join David Jeremiah, Dr. David Jeremiah as worship pastor.
In July of 2017, Billingsley became the worship pastor of Shadow Mountain Community Church. Billingsley continues to travel throughout the year as a leader of worship in conferences like the Women of Joy, Gridiron Men and Celebrator’s conferences , as in addition to a solo performance artist.

Billingsley started his career as a solo artist following his graduation at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama in 1992. After two years Billingsley joined the modern Christian musician group NewSong. In 1994 they came out with People Get Ready featuring “Arise My Love.” The album featured four hits that reached the top of the charts. After two years of working with NewSong, Charles left to pursue his own career. He performed an average of 200 concerts per year.
In 2002, Billingsley was appointed the pastor of worship in the Thomas Road Baptist Church, and also the artist-in-residence for Liberty University. in 2005 Billingsley made the move into San Diego, California to work with Dr. David Jeremiah at the Shadow Mountain Community Church, the home for Turning Point Ministries.
In February 2019, Billingsley announced his departure from Shadow Mountain Community Church to pursue his concert ministry full-time.
