British driver of auto racing, Carl Breeze was born 7 July 1979 in Kings Lynn. He should not be confused with Hylabreese, an Australian driver with British Touring Car Championship experience. Ayrton Senna and Nelson Piquet are his racing heroes. Breeze is currently competing in the Ginetta GT Supercup.

After SEAT’s 2008 season ended, Breeze moved to the Ginetta G50 series. In 2009, he finished third in the driver standings. This impressive achievement after sustaining a leg injury in an Oulton Park race. He finished the 2010 season as Vice-Champion in Ginetta G50. Breeze raced in the GT4 European Cup 2010 in Ginetta G50 GT4 together with Frank Wrathall.

Breeze had a disastrous start to the 2012 season and the task looked near- impossible with a deficit of almost 120 points after just 3 rounds. With the title in mind Carl move back to his old TCR team and put together a sensational campaign charge. A run of 18 podiums out of a possible 19, which included 6 wins saw Breeze secure the Championship in the last race of the season at Brands Hatch. He finished 4th overall in 2005’s SEAT Cupra Championship, with the Barwell team. He raced for Edenbridge with Tom Ferrier as his teammate, and continued in SEAT Cupra.

Before moving to car racing, Breeze won three major British karting titles. In 1996, Breeze’s first season of car racing was in British Formula Ford. His best result was 2nd. Breeze raced in Formula Palmer Audi in 1998. He also competed in two races of the French GT Championship for 1999. He was the 2001 champion with stronger results than Kimi Raikkonen’s, but unlike Kimi, he had some experience of the circuits and the championship.

In 2002, he made a switch to tin-top driving and joined Vic Lee’s team in rounds 4-10 of BTCC. He drove a Peugeot 406 Coupe. In 2003, he signed for a full-season in the team’s Peugeot 307 but switched to the GA team’s Vauxhall Asstra mid-season. For 2004, he raced the Astra as well as an Alfa Romeo with a variety of team-mates, including Stefan Hodgetts and Kelvin Burt.

For 2011 the Ginetta G50 Cup became the Ginetta GT Supercup and Breeze challenged for the title again in the new Ginetta G55, but lost out by 5 points in the championship to Adam Morgan. He will continue to race in the Ginetta GT Supercup in 2012 racing for Tollbar Racing.
