Brooks Casey Pounders (born September 26 in 1990) is an American professional baseball player who plays who plays for the Tampa Bay Rays organization. Pounders was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates selected Pounders in the second round of 2009’s MLB draft. He been a part of Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, Colorado Rockies as well as the New York Mets.

Following the 2016 season, the Royals exchanged Pounders for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in exchange for Jared Ruxer. Jared Ruxer opted to go free on November 6, 2017.

On January 29, 2018, Pounders signed a minor league contract with the Colorado Rockies. Pitching for the Rockies in 2018, he was 0-1 with a 7.63 ERA in 15.1 innings in which he struck out 17 batters, and pitching for their AAA affiliate in Albuquerque he was 2-3 with a 3.48 ERA in 31 innings in which he struck out 36 batters. He elected free agency on October 9, 2018.

The Royals promoted Pounders to the major leagues from the Omaha Storm Chasers of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League on July 5, 2016 and he pitched relief to the Toronto Blue Jays. Pounders recorded his first career victory on July 7, 2016, after pitching an innings of relief against Mariners. The 2016 season ended with an 9.24 earned run rate (ERA) in 12/3 innings of pitched pitching for Kansas City, and a 3.14 ERA in 80 /3 innings pitched for Omaha.
