She showed off her webbed hands in the series as they explored the public’s attitudes towards people who have disabilities that are prominently displayed. She created Sabina on characters she recognized existed in the 1920s as well as 1930s carnival sideshows that had names such as “Lobster Girl” or “Lobster Boy.” These were usually the top jobs that people with ectrodactyly be able to do, with the rest were a secret.
