Beverly “Bev” Kinch (born 14 January 1964) is an English former long jumper and sprinter. Kinch held the UK long jump record for 29 years (1983-2012) with a record of 6.90 meters. She was an 1983 Universiade Champion in 100 metres and 1984 European Indoor Champion at 60 meters. She also was a representative for Great Britain at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul.

In 1986, at the European Indoor Championships in Madrid she placed fourth with the timing in the range of 7.13 second in the 60 m race in Madrid, setting an unofficial British record held up until Jeanette Kwakye completed the race in 7.08 seconds in the World Indoor Championships in Valencia in 2008.

In 1996, Kinch earned relay selection for the Olympic Games, but was forced to withdraw due to injury.

As of 1984 Kinch took part at her first European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg and won an Olympic gold medal in the 60 m race with an impressive speed in 7.16 seconds. Kinch was a star athlete and appeared to have a bright future ahead of herself. she was selected in the 1984 Olympics in the 100 m and long jump , but was forced to pull out because injuries and was not in a position to return to her previous splendor.

Kinch is a native of Ipswich, Suffolk, England and was an athlete of the Borough Hounslow Athletics Club. She participated in the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane, winning bronze in the long-jump with the height of 6.78 meters.

In 1990, she won a European Championship bronze medal in the relay along with her teammates Stephanie Douglas, Simmone Jacobs and Paula Thomas. That year also saw her run a lifetime best in the 100 m with 11.29 secs. She reached the quarter-finals of the 100 metres at the World Championships in both Tokyo, 1991 and Stuttgart, 1993.
