On the 20th of January, 2011 it was announced the player would join South Korean K-League side Busan I’Park. However, his performance slowed and Busan I’Park announced that they had decided to end his contract on the 21st of April.

A-League side Perth Glory have announced they were interested in hiring van den Brink to play in the coming season. On 7 June 2011, it was announced that he was able to agree terms. On January 28, 2013, it was reported it was announced that Perth Glory has released him from the last month of his deal upon his request, so the player could look for other opportunities. In relation to this Glory head coach Ian Ferguson was quoted as saying,”It was not an easy choice, but we had a discussion about with the club and then decided Bas could leave and move on”.Van den Brink commented on his departure,”I will be sad to leave Perth but I’m glad I have to go and I’m excited for taking on a new challenge within my professional career.”
