Azwan Saleh is one of the most popular and richest Bruneian footballer who was born on January 6, 1986 in Brunei. Azwan Bin Muhamad Saleh (born on January 6, 1988) is a Bruneian footballer who is part of DPMM FC as a midfielder or left-sided full-back. His patronym can be incorrectly listed as Salleh.

Azwan has been loaned out from Indera SC in 2010 while his parent club was banned from participating in the S.League. In 2012, the ban lifted and DPMM kept Azwan who was a starter in their first match back with Tampines Rovers. They re-created the League Cup success that year by scoring a direct free-kick in the final. Azwan scoring directly from a free-kick in the final.

Azwan started the first match of the 2016 AFC Solidarity Cup in central midfield against Timor-Leste in Kuching, Malaysia. The match ended 4–0 to the Wasps in their biggest victory of date. He played a total of four games for the Wasps at central midfield in the tournament.

Azwan was appointed captain of the national team for the two-legged 2018 World Cup qualifier against Chinese Taipei. The team went down 0–2 at home after an encouraging 1–0 win at Kaohsiung. Azwan joined up with the Wasps for the 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup qualification held in Cambodia in October 2016. With Najib Tarif injured since the first game, he was placed at left-back in the third game against Laos which ended in a 4–3 loss.

Azwan first started playing soccer for club teams with QAF FC in the B-League Premier I and made his first international experience while the team was selected to play for the national team in regional qualifying tournaments such as the kind of AFC Challenge Cup and the AFF Championship. He was added to the under-21 squad from DPMM in 2007 and began playing as striker. He was a deeper midfielder during the 2007-08 season and would become the last season that DPMM was in Malaysia. After moving towards Singapore in the Singaporean S.League in 2009 with his club, he became an important member of Vjeran Simunic who positioned his position on the left of the DPMM midfield. The team’s season was abruptly ended because FIFA had suspended Brunei however, not prior to taking home the League Cup.
