Annelies Van Parys is one of the most popular and richest Composer who was born on June 5, 1975 in Bruges, Flemish Region, Belgium. Annelies Van Parys (born 5 June 1975) is a Belgian classical composer who composes chamber music, orchestral and orchestral music and theatre music and opera.

Van Parys wrote An Index of Memories for five voices and an ensemble in 2009 and 2010 to be performed in a theatre performance by the Spectra Ensemble. The music was directed by Caroline Petrick, it was presented in a production by The Muziektheater Transparant which was staged at deSingel at Antwerp on the 12th of March, 2010. Music featured Vocaallab Nederland, Spectra Ensemble and Triatu which was conducted by Marit Strindlund. Van Parys wrote Een Oresteia for three female voices and an the ensemble following a request from Eduard van Beinumstichting. Another stage production which was first performed in the Concertgebouw, Bruges, on 18 February 2011. It was then re-produced with Muziektheater Transparant directed by Petrick. Music was performed by Vocaallab Nederland (Bauwien Vandermeer, Els Mondelaers, Elsbeth Gerritsen) and the group Asko/Schonberg led by Alejo Perez. Her debut operetta, Private Views, on the libretto of Tom Creed, was premiered by Muziektheater Transparant on 13 May 2015.

She wrote Poeme to be performed by solo voice the mezzo-soprano Els Mondelaers. They performed it in the Academia Belgica in Rome on 30 March 2006. Van Parys composed Stanza as a solo instrument for harp in response to an order from the Bijloke [NL] where it was first performed in the presence of Isabelle Moretti in a concert on March 8, 2007. Van Parys composed the music to Ruhe the performance by The Muziektheater Transparant which also featured part songs written by Schubert. The performance was performed, by the Collegium Vocale Gent conducted by Christoph Siebert, from 2007 until 2010 at various festivals across Europe as well as Australia. The second Symphony “Les Ponts” was written for the Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen [nl] who premiered itunder the direction of Otto Tausk at the Brussels Conservatory on March 14, 2008.
