Ang Zhiwei is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on August 2, 1989 in Singapore, People's Republic of China. Ang was selected to Singapore’s Singapore U-21 National Team in 2008.
Following the conclusion of his national service Ang came back to Geylang United for the 2012 S.League season, in which the Eagles played his first year playing for the Eagles.
He made his debut for Woodlands Wellington on 21 February 2013 in a 2–2 draw against Warriors F.C..
On 1 January 2013, it was announced that he had joined Woodlands Wellington along with Shahril Alias after spending one season at Bedok Stadium, joining up with former Geylang United captain and goalkeeper, Yazid Yasin.
When he was drafted for National Service in 2010, his professional football career stopped. Ang was a part of the NFL Division One side, Singapore Armed Forces Sports Association (SAFSA) during the two years he served as a national serviceman . He also was team captain for the SAFSA team.

In this year’s Vietnam Youth Newspaper Cup competition in 2009, Ang scored his first international goal against Thailand under 21 in an 1-0 win on October 11, 2009.
Ang began his career as an athlete for the Prime League until he came to prominence during 2009. S.League season when he became an integral part of Geylang United squad which overcame the current Singapore Cup champions, Bangkok Glass in order to win the Singapore Cup. The performance of Geylang United also resulted in him being picked as a member of his place in the Singapore under-21 national Team.
On 21 December 2013, Tampines Rovers announced the signing of Ang for the 2014 season.
