At the end of 1998 Gal-Or changed to venture capital in 1998 and joined the founding of Infinity Group. In 2002, the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) of Israel launched a program to privatize technology incubators. Under the supervision of Infinity, Gal-Or founded Maayan Ventures which is an publicly traded company which he is chairman of. Maayan is with its headquarters in Beersheva is a key with the Israeli government in seed investments and manages over 60 investment portfolios. Infinity also has incubators for technology situated in Dimona as well as Sde Boker and is purchasing an interest in the incubator of Ofakim. Each incubator is specialized and Infinity offers them services and assistance.

Gal-Or’s path as a private entrepreneur started with his Technion incubator in the year 1990 after having completed seven years of military service. He returned to Haifa and was enrolled as a student at Haifa’s University of Haifa and, along with his mother, founded two material companies: TAN, developing high-grade ceramic oxides that refract and a partnership that was a joint venture with the largest Israeli oil company, the Paz Oil Company. The latter venture eventually was merged into Paz to pay royalty and TAN was later sold. It was 1994 when Gal-Or has been appointed an administrator for Mati Ra’anana, a business development center located in Ra’anana that was jointly created by the JDC as well as the Ministry of Absorption, the Israel Small and Medium Enterprise Authority (ISMEA), ESRA organization, and Ra’anana Municipality.
