Zuo Shusheng is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on April 13, 1958 in Tianjin, People's Republic of China. Zuo Shusheng, Chinese Zuo Shu Sheng; Chinese Zuo Shu Sheng; pinyin Zuo Shusheng; born 13 April 1958 in Tianjin), is an ex-Chinese international soccer player and manager. He was a former player for Tianjin city FC (now Tianjin Teda F.C.). He also played for the Dutch team FC Zwolle, before he retired. He was a former manager of Tianjin’s club. His greatest accomplishment was when the club finished fourth in the 2008 Chinese Super League.

He would be joining Chengdu Wuniu, Gansu Tianma and as a coach until 2007, when Tianjin Teda would return Zuo Shusheng back to the club as the reserve team’s head coach. In 2008, Jozef Jarabinsky had been fired and Zuo Shusheng was appointed head coach of the Tianjin senior football team. Tianjin would quickly rise up the table, finishing the season in fourth position. They also gained a place within the AFC Champions League. Tianjin had a difficult time in the 2009 AFC Champions League. He also failed to improve on last year’s final league position. The club replaced him with Arie Haan at start of 2010 league season.

Zuo Shusheng retired after the 1992 league season. He was then allowed to take over as Tianjin City FC’s head coach for a brief period. While completing his management training, he was later appointed assistant coach to Tianjin. Zuo Shusheng, after completing his management training, would become Tianjin Teda’s new head coach. He replaced Lin Xinjiang(Lin Xin Jiang ), in the second half 1996 league season. This was to help Tianjin fight relegation and would eventually lead them to a respectable eighth place in the league. Zuo Shusheng was not able to make it through 1997 league season. Tianjin had struggled to achieve results at the start of the season. This led to Zuo Shusheng resigning as head coach.

Zuo Shusheng made his debut against South Korea in 1978’s Asian Cup qualifier. China lost 1-0. He would be part of the 1980 AFC Asian Cup squad, and although China lost the tournament, Zuo Shusheng would become an integral part of the Chinese team. Zuo Shusheng was now the captain of the team, and he would be a runner-up in the 1984 AFC Asian Cup. However, he retired from international football after China’s crucial 1986 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Hong Kong.

Zuo Shusheng began his football career playing for Tianjin City FC (currently Tianjin Teda F.C.). 1978 league season. He was a key player in the team’s victory of the 1982 and 1983 league titles. This title was shared with Guangdong Provincial Team 1983. After being an integral part of Tianjin’s squad for ten year, he was offered the chance to join FC Zwolle in the Netherlands in 1988.
