Hood was signed by the Chicago Bears on October 22, 2015 following the release Jeremiah Ratliff. He was released on December 15, 2015.

On October 30, 2018, Hood was signed by the Miami Dolphins.

On October 16, 2018, Hood was released by the Redskins.

Hood signed a $16 million, four-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars on March 13, 2014. Hood was released by the Jaguars on October 20, 2015.
