Paris Maragkos is one of the most popular and richest Basketball Player who was born on January 19, 1994 in Marousi, Attica, Greece. Kyprianos Ioannis “Paris” Maragkos (alternate spelling: Maragos) (Greek: Kuprianos Ioannes “Pares” Maragkos; born on 19 January 1994.) is a Greek professional basketball player who plays for Larisa in the Greek Basket League. He stands 2.06 meters (6’9″) in height and can play in both the center and power forward positions.

Maragkos played in basketball for the college team during his time at George Washington University, with the George Washington Colonials, from 2012 until 2014.

Due to his limited playing time with George Washington, he transferred in 2014, to American University. During his first season with the American Eagles, he averaged 7.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game. At the end of his junior season, Maragkos rejected an offer from the Greek 2nd Division club Kavala, in order to continue his playing spell in college basketball with American University.

In 2016, he signed a 4-year contract with the Greek club Olympiacos, but only played sparingly during his single season with the EuroLeague team.

After playing for the youth teams for juniors at Panathinaikos, Maragkos made his debut on the professional scene with Panathinaikos on October 31 2010 in the highest-level Greek Basket League, during the 2010-11 season. He was the age of 16. His debut game in the most prestigious Greek League came against Ilysiakos in a match that Panathinaikos beat with an 81-62 score. Maragkos only had 2 minutes of playing time during his debut game.

Maragkos was a part of the national junior teams of Greece. As a member of Greece’s junior national team He played in the following tournaments including in the 2009, 2008 and the edition in 2010 of the FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship, the 2011 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship along with the 2014 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship.

He was in two games across Greece’s top league for professional players in the 2010-11 season, playing an average of 4.9 minutes for each game. However, he was able to keep his status as an amateur, making his eligible for college basketball. He left in 2012 resigned from Panathinaikos in order to attend college and study basketball within the United States.

Maragkos played high school basketball at the private Blue Ridge High School, in Saint George, Virginia. He led his team to a 20–7 overall record, and a VISAA state semifinals appearance in 2012, averaging 10.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game.
